which provides electrical energy to a “treatment” coil” (magnet) that delivers pulsed magnetic fields that are the same type and strength as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines.

During a treatment session, one of our trained staff places the magnetic coil on the patient’s head and calibrates the machine specifically for that patient.

The magnetic fields are pointed at the region of the brain thought to be responsible for causing depression.

The treatment does not require any anesthesia nor sedation, and the patient will remain alert during treatment.

The course of treatment comprises a total of 36 sessions - 5 treatments weekly for 6 weeks, followed by 6 tapering treatments.

Most patients who benefit from NeuroStar TMS Therapy® will see results by the fourth week of treatment.
